About the Event

ABOUT THE SESSION Sometimes situations get so complicated and problematic that it feels best to clear it all and restart again. Well, many gods across different cultures felt it too about the world and humanity, which is why we see the recurring theme of flooding in our mythologies. But what reasons compelled the Gods to purge the world? And how did humanity endured and emerged from this? Looking at different mythologies, we will explore: Mesopotamian Story of Utnapishtim’s immortality from the oldest known epic ever Puranic Story of Matsya & Manu from the Shatapatha Brahaman and other ancient Hindu text Abrahamic Story of Noah’s Ark from the Genesis chapter of Holy Bible Come and register for this talk where Anupriy Kanti will discuss the great flood myths and what they meant to us.
